DIY – All Purpose Cleaner

I was thrilled with how my DIY Laundry Detergent turned out, I figured it was only about time I made and used my own all purpose cleaner. Overall I like this mix. My only problem is the smell… which comes from our dish soap we use. The sensitive skin. Adrien has sensitive skin and when we were shopping for soap (many months ago) this was the only one in the store. It still does the trick, but I just don’t care for the smell. Next time I buy dish soap I know that if this is my only option, I will make a detour to another store… any store, so I don’t have to buy this one. No use wasting it now though.

Materials Needed:
1/2 tsp Washing Soda
2 tsp Borax
1/2 tsp Dish Soap
2 Cups Hot water
Mix all your dry ingredients together. Add in your hot water (I boiled mine) and stir until everything is dissolved. Transfer into a spray container and use as needed.
Very easy recipe. And it does the job wonderfully. I’ve only used it in my kitchen however. As I still have store bought bathroom cleaner. Once I run out I’ll make the switch. This mixture here will not leave any residue or ‘sticky’ feeling on your counters or wherever it is that you spray it. Which was my initial fear with the dish soap. But the amount used is so little that it has no after effect.
I use it on my glass top stove to take off stuck on (who am I kidding, cooked on) food. If it is really caked on there, I’ll spray and walk away for just a few moments, then return and whatever was stuck on there wipes off very nicely.
Let me know how it works out for you!
