We woke up to it snowing the other day. I had errands to run, and bundled up in some warm and comfy clothes, I ventured out into the white and did what needed to be done. I couldn’t get a good photo with it actually snowing, but this was what it looked like on the ground after about an hour or two.
I’m one for the snow, honestly. Living on the coast we don’t get to see much of it because our temperature is easily controlled by the water. Snow makes everything seem peaceful. However this snow only caused stress to me this time around. We had to call around and change the venue for our reception. We had a new one quick enough, but no kids were allowed. I can’t tell my niece and cousin they aren’t allowed to attend because they are still children. So you can imagine the stress of this, only 9 days before the wedding date. It’s a scramble, but I’m sure it will all work out.
I was out shopping for a gift for my MOH and saw this beauty and had to take a picture. This doesn’t do justice. It’s at least 3 stories high. A couple was passing by while I was taking a photo and commented on how it reminded him of Rockefeller square. It’s just a big ass tree. I wish you could see the size in the photo, but there was no way I could get something in it for perspective.
I went for my gestational diabetes test and passed with flying colours. I was a bit worried for a while, as we had eaten a lot of cakes and desserts as of late. All I want is the good stuff that isn’t really good for you. But diabetes doesn’t run in my family, nor does GD so I’m not sure what I was so worried about.
Oh the hormones! I seem to be getting so emotional over the littlest things lately. Full out crying with joy over this video, so I figured I’d share this wonderful and fun Christmas video and hope to inspire some good deeds in your holiday this year.
Overall it’s been one week of last minute planning and arrangements for the wedding, which at this exact moment is three days away. Tonight I get to drive out to the airport and pick up my Aunt after I’m off work. I’m so excited to see her. This afternoon Adrien is off to the cake appointment. He asked if he could ‘handle the cake’ and I said go for it! So the ball is in his court, and I’m sure he’ll pick out a delicious one for everyone to eat on Sunday. I’m pretty sure this will be our big splurge in the wedding budget. But it’s all good in my books if I dont have to think about it at all!
I can’t believe I’m 28 weeks tomorrow, this week couldn’t have gone by any faster. Last post of the week tomorrow, then next time you hear from me I’ll be a married woman! Wish me luck that I don’t get all hormonal and cry the entire wedding.
