Poppy Seed Salad Dressing Obsession
I’m sorry, but have you been informed with how obsessed I am with poppy seed salad dressing? No? Well I am, and you would be too if you’ve been plating Orange Spinach Salad and Strawberry Almond Salad. Today I’m sharing my Strawberry and Cucumber Salad.
I love salads. They’re healthy and so versatile. Just one ingredient change can make a brand new dish.
Take the two salads I just mentioned. They are essentially the same recipe, the strawberry and orange is the main difference.
Yet I’d eat these salads on back to back to back days because I won’t get tired of it.
Thanks in part to the poppy seed salad dressing.
Finding the Right Taste
Today’s strawberry and cucumber salad recipe is 4 ingredients including the dressing, but only including the dressing as one ingredient. This is because I always have pre-made dressing in my fridge waiting to be used.
That’s an easy meal-prep idea for anyone who wants to make homemade salads more often but sees a problem when it comes to the dressing. I can see a major problem too.
Walking in the grocery store you can buy an expensive, fresh and heavy salad dressing in your produce section. Or a lighter, creamy/oily, inexpensive… but filled with ingredients you may not be able to pronounce in the dry foods aisle.
Neither of those entice me to have salad on the regular if I am trying to be healthy. And salad tastes better with salad dressing, am I right? So don’t skip the salad.
Instead, I prepare my 4-Ingredient Poppy Seed Salad Dressing. Enough to last at least two or three meals, and keep it in the fridge. I guarantee you it’ll be so versatile it’s the only one you need for that few day salad stint.
