The Labour Games
May the Doc’s be ever in your favour!

The Labour Games, my own spin off of The Hunger Games, only with a much more appealing ending. Once you hit 37 weeks, you are considered full term. Being my first baby, my doctor keeps telling me that I will NOT be early, unless we must take medical interventions if something happens to go wrong.

Well, I may not get my ‘earlier than predicted due date’ baby, but I am for sure not going to have a ‘day or 12 after predicted date’ baby. So I created the Labour Games. Everyday I plan on doing something that might help give a boost to my labour. Here is a list of things that can be done to help start labour.

Of course, I am not a medical professional. Before doing anything drastic, or even before starting the Labour Games, please consult your doctor and make sure it is right for you.

-Sexy Bedroom Times
-Raspberry Leaf Tea
-Castor Oil
-Jumping Jacks
-Membrane Sweep (doctor performed)
-Induction Massage
-Chiropractor Visit
-Nipple Stimulation
-Bouncing on Exercise Ball
-Spicy Food
-Greasy Foods
-Wearing your best Panties (Murphy’s Law)
-Stair Climbing
-Evening Primrose Oil
-Warm Bath (Never if Water has Broken)
-Walking, one foot on, one foot off the curb
-Swing (At a park)

Take your pick, do one a day, or try multiple every day. This is supposed to be a fun way to pass time, have a few laughs and get that baby in the mood to come out!

I created a thread on my pregnancy app on my phone and have had some ladies say they love this and are going to throw in a few alternatives to make them feel good in the last days. Such as a light shopping trip (for baby or you), a mani/pedi and hair appointments. I say why not! You want to be relaxed leading up to labour and delivery anyways, so throwing in a few pampering days is fine by me!

Good Luck, Congratulations Momma’s! And may the Doc’s be ever in your favour!
Let the Labour Games BEGIN!
